Stripesuit
I've been a bit slow to get back to the normal routine after the lonnnng holiday weekend. I had two quick work days, then was off to Santa Barbara on Friday to celebrate my bestie's birthday. But hey - this is what summer is for! I'm doing my best to be a summer person ever since moving to a hotter part of town. I was never one to own a bunch of bathing suits, breezy dresses, and walk around with sunscreen soaked skin and salt spray in my hair all the time. But this summer I'm getting excited about being this person, and bracing for a long hot summer that will probably go til November. One of the ways I'm doing this is by bringing some fun pieces into my wardrobe that are a bit of a departure from my past summer-resistant skinny jeans. This jumpsuit is one I've been surprised that I reach for as much as I do, considering it was kind of a black sheep purchase. I wasn't sure if it was too... peppy for me. But it seems to have just the right amount of uniqueness and summery ease, and the colors feel more like neutrals in such a sheer fabric. It's one of many steps I've been taking to open my style up a bit these days, and I'm really liking it!
