A New Kind of Everyday
I'm always on the lookout for things to wear everyday when I need something a bit more fun than jeans and tee, but equally as low maintenance. Heading out for a day of errands, a quick work meeting, or having lunch with a friend - all occasions that don't require overthinking but the throw-ons I reach for on my hibernation days don't feel presentable enough. By low maintenance I mean it can be machine washed, unlike the silk tops that need to be dry cleaned. Ever since I had Sailor I've been reaching for the silks less and less. They just feel so fancy for my everyday life. Right now, I'm a lot more into lightweight cotton and linen for easy living. Not to mention *summer is coming* and I'm trying to mentally prepare for the heat. This top is another Midland purchase, and another in the cropped variety. I'm thinking my next binge needs to be more high waisted pants/shorts.
Fashion Feng Shui notes: Forgive me guys, I said I would start doing these but I have been forgetting! This outfit has a lot of wood vibes. The denim, the sandals reminiscent of sporty slides, linen top, and spring blue floral earrings. Wood all around. Notice how I mentioned this was perfect for a day of errands due to its low maintenance nature? Well thats exactly the kind of day you'd want wood for. No nonsense, movable, and breathable. To keep with my metal essence with a side of fire though, I added a fancier yet attention getting statement with these earrings that didn't make the outfit any less wearable.
