Black & Blue
Isn't it funny how your taste can change so suddenly? It's like you wake up one morning and there's a whole new world of things you are loving and wanting in your life that you would have frowned upon in the past, just because times change and we change. Well here are two things I never used to give the time of day to: 1. Sporty styles, and 2. Matchy matchy. But these days I'm scouring stores for anything with a rugby stripe, complementary color blocking, big numbers, or a "uniform" quality to it - and this Rag & Bone suit is no exception. I became obsessed with it when it hit stores back in the spring, then cyber stalked it until it went as far on sale as it could possibly go. Even though spring is long gone, this particular shade of cornflower blue with smokey gray accents transitions into fall quite nicely, especially when paired with chunky black staples to darken the look up a bit. I have constantly been reaching for my classic 11" Cambridge Satchel with a personalized, gilded touch that I couldn't resist. The traditional boxy flap style just oozes an academic fall energy that I crave this season, and it's perfect for a field trip... or any day when you have places to go and you want to keep things simple and hands free.
