Superwoman Green Smoothie

A few years ago I realized I needed to put more intention behind what I consumed. I would catch myself going entire days without eating anything green or drinking more than one glass of water and I could really feel it. I hired my friend, neighbor, and hiking buddy Caley who is an AMAZING yoga guru/nutritionist and one of the first things she told me to do was start my day with a green smoothie. Ever since, I've been making some variation of the same thing almost every morning. I thought it was finally time to share what goes into it! I love mixing it up with powders and superfoods. Recipe below!

GREEN SMOOTHIE

8oz almond milk1 banana2 tbsp peanut butter or almond butterHandful of spinach or kale leavesA small handful of broccoli sprouts1 date, pit removed1 scoop of a greens powder (I use Green Vibrance and I get it at Whole Foods)1 serving of protein powder (I use either Tone It Up vanilla or Moon Juice Vanilla Mushroom Protein)Handful of ice cubes

Optional add-ins: Chia seeds, flaxseed, cacao nibs, lucuma, or any of the Moon Juice dusts (right now I only have the Brain Dust in my cupboard but saving my pennies to get more)

I drop it all in my Vitamix (one of the best purchases we finally bit the bullet on), hit the smoothie button, and watch it mix right up into the tastiest, healthiest breakfast I could possibly have. I love starting my day with this smoothie, along with coffee of course. Can't stop won't stop!

Let me know if you try this recipe and definitely play around with your proportions! It takes a few tries to find your exact preferred mix, but this is what has been working for me. I highly recommend this for anyone who is looking to get a jump on their diet or general health. I swear it makes me feel so much better throughout the whole day!
