Best Makeup for Summer

Summer is the worst time for makeup. Not only are we lazy and keeping things low maintenance, we're also trying not to sweat it all off at all times. But I'm a girl who feels naked without SOMETHING on my face, and I went into this summer on a mission to find the products that combat the 100 degree temps. I've been testing products since May, and since I know we still have another solid 3 months of summer where I live (high five if you live somewhere where you'll get to wear your flannels in September - jealous), I'm sharing my findings with you today!

FACE & BODY

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer - This is a longtime top fave of what seems like everyone. I like it for a VERY low maintenance day, because it is quite sheer.  But the color range is great, and it's a nice go-to on weekends.

Hourglass Vanish Foundation Stick - This might be my top must have in the lot. There's something about a stick foundation that just makes sense for summer. They make it easy to just dab on areas that need it most, or layer more on if you're doing a full face of makeup.

Becca Aqua Luminous Foundation - Water based foundations are better in the heat than oil based. I got this one in two shades so I could custom mix according to how tan I am. I do this with all my summer foundations (including the Hourglass stick).

Glossier Stretch Concealer - I love this for just dabbing under the eyes and any spots on days I don't wear foundation. It blends really well and doesn't get dry or cakey under the eyes.

St. Tropez Tanning Luxe Oil - A great self tanning oil for your face.

La Mer Glowing Body Oil - So nice for getting a nice sheen on your legs and arms for a summer night out in a short dress! Or even just a regular day wearing shorts.

CHEEKS

Glossier Cloud Paint (in Dusk and Beam) - Obsessed with these! So much better than any cheek stain I've ever tried. The best part is that you can be heavy handed and not end up ruining your whole face (I've done it many times with other cheek stains), and it stays better than powder blush in hot temps.

RMS Living Luminizer - Non-toxic and perfectly glowy without being sparkly or glittery.

Benefit Hoola Contour Stick - Bronzer in stick form just makes sense to me in the summer. It's great for contouring as well, and nice and soft making it easy to blend.

La Mer Bronzing Powder - Sometimes I'll put a little of this on at the very end of my makeup routine just to add a bit more bronzer.

EYES

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner - A longtime fave for a reason! But don't get the brown shade that's shown in these pics. I thought the brown would be a nice alternative to black in the summer so I picked this one up but since we shot this, I've realized that the brown doesn't stay as well as the black. I'm going to try the Make Up For Ever Aqua liner in brown instead. Get the black if you're going to get this one though!

Glossier Boy Brow - Such a great way to do your brows when you don't want do deal with the whole pot + brush situation. I'll do this alone on low maintenance days, and a mix of this + Anastasia pencil on higher maintenance days!

Any other products you guys are loving for summer? I'd love to add them to my list!
