Non-Girly Ruffles
Lately I'm a sucker for feminine details, but only in a very certain way. Florals, ruffles, or anything dainty always have to be worn with something rough to offset the softness. In the case of this top, I love the mix of poplin and sweatshirt fabrics, and the structured shape which bring it to a not-so-girly place. Adding the edgier style sunglasses, slide sandals, and frayed black jeans with sporty side stripes help to seal the deal on the fact that ruffles aren't only for ladylike ladies.
Fashion Feng Shui notes: This outfit honors my metal essence with the white color and structured style of the top, with a slight touch of fire detailing because of the statementy nature of the ruffles and oversized sleeves - perfect for my underlying essence and current intention. Black jeans with frayed ends bring in that bit of water I always like to have in an outfit to accent my physical features.
