Holiday Cards

Ever since we got married, I've always wanted to send out holiday cards to our friends and family but I have never managed to actually make it happen. I had visions of doing a cute photoshoot with Ian and the dogs in our festive outfits out in a field somewhere, but then the thought of gathering everyone's addresses and stuffing all the envelopes, etc. was just too daunting. But this year was a different story. With Sailor just having come into our lives and it being her very first Christmas as a fresh human, it was really important to us to have something to send to our friends and family. Luckily, we had already recently done a family photoshoot with Heather Kincaid, so we didn't have to find time to do a shoot just for the cards. So with the help of Minted, we were able to put together a stylish card, upload the addresses right to the site, and have them printed on the envelopes along with our return address for FREE. So all we had to do once they arrived was put them in the envelopes and add postage. The turnaround was super quick too. I had them all sealed and sent out within a week of placing the order, without even having to do rush shipping. Not bad if you ask me. They have so many beautiful, non-cheesy, non-cliché designs to choose from, including plenty that are not holiday specific so even if you're just now getting around to it, you could choose a general "tis the season" or "happy new year" type of design and not have to worry about them seeming late if they arrive after Christmas. I knew I wanted something foil pressed (how could I not?) with spaces for two photos on the front and one on the back, and something that wasn't Christmas specific, so the rose gold version of the Season of Love design was perfect for us. I also rounded up some of my other favorite designs below. I'm looking forward to continuing with this tradition for years to come!IMG_4863[show_shopthepost_widget id="1283655"]
