Racer's Edge

When I first saw this jacket, I knew without hesitation that it had to be mine. I'm obsessed with the racer vibe (especially when it's paired with these leather/zipper patch jeans) and the graphic high contrast of the white leather mixed in. Plus Veda leather jackets are the bomb. The first one I ever bought was by them - I love how they fit with the elastic on the inner arms and soft, thin leather making them comfy for varying temps and adaptable to weight fluctuation over the years. It was one of those things that I intensely stalked online and in stores until I finally scored it at end-of-spring sample sale, which meant I had to wait like four months before I could even wear it. Even though it was worth the wait, that's a tough one for me. I'm definitely into instant gratification when it comes to wardrobe purchases. That's why my favorite things to buy are everyday type things like good tees, jeans, and boots... as opposed to special occasion things like dresses, heels, and clutches. I just don't enjoy spending money on something that's going to sit in my closet the majority of the time. I like to start wearing it obsessively. Who else feels this way? What are your favorite wardrobe items to shop for? You can bet that when the temp got cold enough, this came out of hibernation and has been on daily rotation ever since.
