Spring Shade
The weather in LA has been so confused this past week going from extreme sweaty heat to sweater weather overnight. Whether it's 60 or 90 degrees, the summer wardrobe is officially back into the prime closet real estate and I'm already reaching for the staples that I know will be in heavy rotation in the coming months. For now, I'm happy to wear them layered with some of my spring favorites like this sharp white blazer. I know layering will soon start to fizzle out, so I'm trying to enjoy it while I can. As I've been prepping for warmer times, I've been filling some gaps that were previously in my closet. On my list was a solid pair of ripped boyfriend shorts (these are going to be an everyday wear this summer), mirrored sunnies (I loved my blue ones so much I had to get the pink too), a straw Panama hat (love how this one is all black), a pair of Birkenstocks (or two) whose comeback I'm fully embracing, and lots and lots of stripes. This cami has a matching set of shorts, so it can be worn as pajamas as well - I love a good multitasker! Summer only requires a few simple pieces to take you through those long hot days, so you can spend less time styling complicated outfits and more time sipping rosé.
