Varsity Girl
In light of the Super Bowl this Sunday, I figure it's the perfect time to take a moment for the sporty inspiration that's been sweeping fashion these days. From jerseys to high tops, varsity jackets to running shoes, the team player look is all over the place and I'm totally feeling it. It's fun to mix an athletic statement into a more typical "you" outfit, rather than the old way we might have worn this look in high school, which in my case would have been with wide leg Girbaud jeans and certainly no varsity jacket because I never lettered in an actual sport - only music and theatre, which at my school were some of the nerdiest patches one could possibly put on a letter jacket. That's why I'm getting it out of my system now as a grown woman. How are you going to sport your team (or at least team "inspired") spirit on Sunday?
