Simpler Times

Happy New Year everyone! After an a wonderful, challenging, and rewarding 2013, I'm excited that 2014 is officially here. Even though nothing is drastically changing at the immediate moment, there is something so refreshing about buckling down when a new year starts. I wouldn't trade all the fun that was had between Thanksgiving and New Years, but it actually feels so good to stop all the overindulging and get a clear mind about my goals and plans for the next year. I love how January is a time to do things right, and break some bad habits. I made a list of about 20 resolutions and even if I don't keep them all, it's a nice way to get focused after all the craziness. I'm about to start another TV project which is going to have me running all over town and long hours for a month straight, so right now I'm less concerned with sparkles and pop lips, and more interested in comfortable, easy, moveable clothes. I'll be relying on some key staples like a good pair of stretchy skinny jeans, ankle boots, and sweaters. This outfit is made up of some of my favorites for comfy living. The sweater, which I picked up from the Maison Martin Margiela for H&M collection, is the warmest one I have and barely even fits under a coat. It'll be great for colder nights on set. I love to pair it with sharper black boots and coated skinnies to elevate it just a bit.
