2014 is coming in with a bang, which means lots of exciting new projects at The Life Styled. That's why we're looking for some motivated, style savvy people to join our team! Our days are busy with everything from styling looks for TV shows and editorial photo shoots, helping our personal clients updates their wardrobes, participating in workshops and events, and creating new content for the blog. These are some great opportunities for those looking to build careers in fashion styling and style blogging, for various levels of experience. Here's what's on the table...
1. STYLING ASSISTANT (Part time)This position is to provide support on styling projects including television, magazine, and personal clients. Responsibilities include pulling clothes and accessories for shoots and clients all over LA, assisting on television and magazine shoots, trend forecasting, research, social media, creating blog content, and some clerical/bookkeeping work. The schedule is part time and on an as-needed basis.Qualifications: We are looking for someone who is organized, motivated, reliable, personable, resourceful, and has a keen eye for style. The ideal candidate has some experience in the fashion industry. Fashion styling experience is preferred, as well as involvement/familiarity with social media and blogging. Photoshop skills a plus. Must have your own computer, wheels, and live in Los Angeles.
2. INTERN (Unpaid/ for school credit)The Life Styled is currently seeking a part time styling/editorial intern. Candidates should be proactive, creative, and have a strong interest in fashion and trends. No previous styling experience is required. Tasks will include: trend research, social media, errands for styling projects, helping to create blog content, and some clerical/bookkeeping work. Looking for a commitment of 2-3 days per week. Some of the work will be done from home, and some in the field. Could lead to possible paid opportunities at The Life Styled.Qualifications: The ideal candidate has some experience in the fashion industry or is currently attending school for a fashion related degree. An interest in fashion styling, blogging, and knowledge of social media are musts. Photoshop skills a strong plus. Must have your own computer, wheels, and live in Los Angeles.
3. PHOTOGRAPHY ASSISTANT (Part time)We are seeking a photography assistant to help photograph content for the blog 1-2 days per week. Content will include fashion editorials, DIY tutorials, on-set documentary of styling projects, and cocktails.Qualifications: Experience with fashion/lifestyle photography and knowledge of Photoshop a must. Must have your own DSLR camera, lenses, computer, and live in Los Angeles.
