Ron Burgundy

I wish I was as cool as Ron Burgundy, especially after this, but at least I can pretend in burgundy sequins with lips and booties to match. I mentioned here that my relationship with sequins has been a little rocky this season. Don't get me wrong, I love them just as much as ever, but I was just in need of a revamp on the trend. Because sequins are about as glamorous as glamour comes, so if we start to get bored with them, where do we go from there? Where?? Well I think I found that sequin refresh with these pants. Not only are they a festive, strong statement that you can't quite get with a sequin dress or tank, the color is nuanced and different enough to make these sparkles feel brand new again. I especially love the fact that they can be dressed up or down in a way that no other sequined piece could. Casually half-tuck a tee for a laid back dinner or last minute drinks date with the girls, or go full-on glam with a great pair of pumps and a black peplum top for a holiday soiree.
