Hangar Time
Since we were having so much fun at the airport in MN with my Dad, we had to break up our shoot into two parts - check out Part 1 if you haven't already! I have so many fun summer memories spending time out at the hangar. We'd often take the drive through the country during the last hours of summer afternoons before the sun starts to fade and have our BBQ's out there rather than at home. It was a fun way to mix up the routine and my Dad loves having the whole family out in his "pilot sanctuary." I have to admit that until recently I never really took a moment to appreciate how beautiful and quiet it is out there, despite the fact that planes are coming and going. That's part of the fun of living in the country. All the things that are so much bigger, louder, and often downright stressful in big cities are much smaller, simpler, and more charming in rural life. Even though I didn't stay in my home state, I absolutely have to go back and check in every few months and recharge in places like this. This outfit was a fun take on "glam pilot." The jean's leather knee panels and bomber style of the jacket make it suitable for doing loops in the air, but there's no denying the femininity of rose gold lamé.
