Sometimes the best combos are the most unlikely ones. That's why I had a feeling this mermaid sequin wonder of a holiday party dress just belonged in the wild for part 2 of my "rustic" collaboration with Heather Kincaid and Fiore Beauty. Well - in the wild or if you prefer, at a swanky fete, bubbly in hand. But for today, it belongs amongst the evergreens.

Only Heather could take reality and wash it with magic the way she does. When she told me about this whimsical location, I barely even heard the part about the quarter mile hike up a steep sandy cliff hill to get there. When you find woods like these smack dab in the middle of Los Angeles, you don't ask questions. You put on your hiking shoes.

I absolutely love what the Fiore girls did with this look. I hadn't been missing my short hair but how could any other hairstyle compliment this dress as well as Larisa's faux bob? And after Allison dolled my eyes up with this green smokey look, I immediately ran out and bought some green eyeliner which I'll be using daily throughout the holidays. As for the nails, I never thought I would be an acrylic girl but Jaimi showed me the difference between tacky and glam when it comes to long nails and now I'm hooked. How could I not be when she adorns them in individually placed multi-toned metallic glitter flecks? Hello.

Dress the Population dress, Zara shoes, Melinda Maria earrings (similar but in turquoise) and ring
