Latest Love: Military Green
This September, as the cooler weather started to set in and I began to retire my coral and pink nail polishes in lieu of dark colors, I noticed a personal obsession forming. See, fall usually brings out the blacks, grays, and eggplants that make up my wardrobe, but it was feeling a bit like we were going back to a redo of last year. Luckily, inspiration stuck as a color kept flashing in my brain: military green!
Most people gravitate towards a certain neutral for fall. Those of us with cooler toned skin may love to rock blacks and grays, while the warmer bunch may go after browns and camels. It's great to know what works for you and stick with it, but it's fun to bring in a few other staples to mix in. Army green is the perfect non-boring neutral. It goes with all skin tones, and matches wonderfully with both black and brown. Even if you're not a fan of the military styling, opt for a blazer, sweater, or tights.
Vince Featherweight Utility Shirt, Essie Sew Psyched
In celebration of this new staple, I found a killer deal at Vince on this utility shirt (60% off!). I got in a large so it would be extra slouchy and long - perfect for belting - and Essie's Sew Psyched which I am... so psyched to polish my nails with this week. This fall, you'll find me in my greens with prep/rocker touches and black accents.
