That Time of Year

This post is sponsored by Walmart+.

Another season has come and gone and we are officially closing in on the end of the year. Our family has now lived in Portland for 14 months and so much has changed, it feels like it’s been 5 years. I have lots to say about how life has shifted after LA but that’s for another post. ;) We’re 6 months into our second house in this city but feeling settled and so ready for this holiday season. It’s my absolute favorite time of year, where everything seems to look and feel twinkly. We’ve already started with the decorating, the shopping, and even some gift wrapping which I think is a record for me. It feels SO good to be getting a head start on things. Every year I end up so stressed as I run out of time before Christmas, so I think I’m finally dialing in my process.

I always joke that “I AM Christmas” in our household. Let’s face it, someone has to do all this prep and it’s not going to be Ian or the kids. This type of task is indeed in my wheelhouse, so I’ll gladly rise up to the task. But lately I don’t feel like I can be prancing around town and leisurely shopping at all my favorite boutiques for all our gifts and holiday needs (at least for now). Between jewelry school, holiday cooking, wrapping up the year for my clients, and a trip to New York coming up, I need a little help to get things done as easily and quickly as possible. I have been leaning on my membership with Walmart+ to give me a boost of productivity.

Walmart+ gets you unlimited free delivery from your store on fresh, high quality groceries and last minute gifts ($35 minimum. Restrictions apply) as well as other amazing benefits.  Available in many zip codes, Walmart+ allows you to order a lot of necessities with free shipping, no order minimum required, at the same low prices you get shopping in store (excludes freight & Marketplace items). Lately it has been PERFECT for a last minute grocery item I forgot to get while I’m prepping a holiday meal! I can just order it up for delivery along with a few other needs that have accumulated on the grocery list. It’s also been a lifesaver for the holiday shopping. Both my girls have their sights set on certain toys or art supplies, so this helps me get those things crossed off the list. It feels good to be able to order things that are in stock locally and can be delivered with a short trip.

Below, I’m linking some of the items on my list for quick and easy procurement this holiday season. You’re definitely going to want to sign up for Walmart+ and and get in on some great deals for your prep this month! I hope you are enjoying this time as we close out another year. We ALL deserve some unapologetic joy right now.
